Intermediate to Senior Reservoir Engineer
Our client, one of Canada's oldest and largest independent oil and gas producers established in 1986, is currently in need of an Intermediate to Senior Reservoir Engineer.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
This position works directly in the business unit and is responsible to:
-Be a contributing member of a multi-disciplined team in conducting well by well optimization assessments
-Optimize depletion strategies of new and existing pools with strong emphasis on waterflood management
-Provide input into the reserves assessment
-Provide input and/or direction/evaluation on implementation of enhanced oil recovery schemes on existing assets
-Identify and coordinate technical data gathering & analysis
-Assist teams in assessing project risk and uncertainty on capital programs
-Evaluate assets for acquisition
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
-University degree in Engineering and a registered APEGGA member
-Ideally more than 5-7 years related industry experience directly involved with reservoir engineering aspects, particularly within the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and team focused skills
-Highly organized with excellent project management abilities
-Excellent analytical and integration skills
-Excellent attention to detail
-Results oriented, decisive and self-motivated
-Experience with OFM, Reservoir Simulation, CMG Suite would be an asset
