Mechanical Engineer
Aerotek is currently hiring for the position of a Mechanical Engineer to work in the Rockville, MD area for our client.
Our client is a growing team of collaborative professionals focused on providing world class services in Master Planning, Facilities Design, Risk Management, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, and Facilities/Infrastructure Management to Federal Clients worldwide.
Immediate opportunity to join and help build the company’s design engineering team. The job offers diverse project opportunities as well as opportunities for advancement.
General responsibilities may include:
-Designing high profile commercial, industrial and institutional building mechanical systems including plan layouts, schedules and shop drawing reviews
-Evaluating and quantifying existing facilities systems.
-Exceeding client project performance requirements on schedule and on budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Education: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering
-Experience: Minimum of 4 years of mechanical (HVAC) design
-Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
-Experience with building codes and ASHRAE standards
-Experience using system calculation software such as: TRACE, HAP, etc.
-Experience with mechanical specifications preparation.
-Experience with plumbing systems and fire protection systems design a plus.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office products a must
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Excellent writing skills.
-Ability to travel.
