Lead Software Engineer with Clearance
Our client is an independent, nonprofit research institute conducting client sponsored research and development for government agencies. They are looking for a software engineer.
Job description:
Position Summary
Applicant will be required to perform intelligence and electronic warfare (IEW) system engineering in support of the Guardrail 2000
Post Production Software Support (PPSS) test bed, Ft. Monmouth, NJ. Guardrail 2000 is an aerial reconnaissance system capable of
intercepting and geo-locating communications and radar signals.
As a project team member, contribute to defining problems,
determining technical requirements, and developing systems engineering solutions relating to distributed systems and networking,
modeling and simulation, processing and display, and data communications.
Tasks include conceptual design of systems tailored to
solve specific client problems, detailed design/specification of complex systems, and test and evaluation of developmental systems.
Applicant will be required to define test procedures and configurations of networked test bed hardware, and conduct software
integration tests.
Applicant will be required to lead and participate in software development and configuration management (CM) tasks
in a mixed operating system (Linux, and Solaris, Sun OS, Real Time Unix) and programming language environment (Ada, C, C++,
Fortran, others).
Minimum of 3 years work experience in a technical discipline.
Applicant must be knowledgeable of Unix, Unix shell scripting, C, C++,
SQL, Java and the concepts of object oriented programming and databases.
Direct programming experience preferred.
BS or MS in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering
Must be capable of obtaining and be able to maintain a DoD top secret security clearance.
