Logistics Engineer - Navy ILS
Our client is a large Global Defense Contractor specializing in technology products, systems/operations and military support services. The company services a large clientele of major aerospace and defense contractors, government intelligence agencies, the United States Military and international military forces. Our client is in immediate need of an experienced Logistics Engineer.
Integrated Logistics Engineer Details: *Understanding of how Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) relates to systems engineering processes. *Understanding the use of various logistics analyses, such as: **Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) **Analyses, Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) **Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) **Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) *Experience with ILS elements, including maintenance, supply, technical data and configuration management, training, manpower, facilities, design interface, computer resources, support and test equipment, packaging, handling, storage, transportation. *Experience with developing, managing, or implementing Total Life Cycle System Management (TLCSM) support concepts for maintaining weapons systems and support. *Experience with PBL methodology, including analysis of alternatives, business case analysis, market research, performance metric development, and contract requirements definition for PBL contracts *Experience with Obsolescence Management and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).
Additional Details: *Practical experience with shipboard rotating radar systems (preferred) *Experience with the study of logistics involving maintenance, inventory management, supplies chain management, distribution, and logistics information systems. *Ability to provide interface with customer as point of contact, investigate customer inquiries and provide responses and materials. *Working knowledge of US Navy planning process (SHIPMAIN) and Navy Data Environment (NDE). *Knowledgeable of Change Requests & Engineering Change Proposals for ILS areas of responsibility in the technical data packages. *Knowledge of US Navy provisioning process and provisioning tools.
Integrated Logistics Engineer Required skills: *B.S. in Engineering/Scientific or related discipline *Working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-502, MIL-STD-1388-2B and MIL-PRF-49506. *Familiar with configuration management principals. *Familiar with installation processes. *Time management and ability to meet deadlines to support the customer's requirements is essential. *Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. *Personal computer skills (competent with MS Office applications). *Able to work well in team environment.
