Logistician - DoD Acquisitions

Our client is in immediate need of a Logistician with DoD Acquisitions experience.
Responsibilities of Logistician – DoD Acquisitions
*Logistician will be responsible for all analysis, design, life cycle costing, and initial support efforts related to full scale Integrated Logistics Support for a new surveillance system.
*Shall have demonstrated experience providing logistics support for major defense acquisition systems and direct program experience in full life cycle logistics support for C4 and IT related systems acquisition related projects
*The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of acquisition plans to provide for a smooth transition to the in-service logistics.
*Activities included are associated with the procurement, integration, and fielding of systems.
*Candidate will provide detailed logistics element management planning and oversight for development and execution of the tasks.
*Candidate must be able to provide expertise on the myriad of factors that influence cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
*Candidate will advise in the interpretation and tailoring of DoD acquisition regulations/memorandums, and will ensure affordable, supportable and effective systems are delivered to the customer.
*Candidate will provide assistance in analyzing and developing improved policies, plans, methods, procedures, and systems of acquisition management programs
*Candidate must plan for the various projects throughout their lifecycle, including design, development, follow-on test & evaluation, electrical magnetic interference testing, low-rate initial production, full rate production and fielding.
Requirements for Logistician – DoD Acquisitions
*Minimum of 8 years of experience in Logistical Support in designing, developing & analyzing mechanical systems and equipment and mitigating obsolescence.
*Experience working in an integrated product team environment (e.g., integration, fabrication, environmental & safety, etc.)
*Excellent written & verbal communications skills - sustainment planning, technical manual development, develop & implement fielding plans, etc.)
*Must be a US citizen and be eligible to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
*Experience in a vehicle road testing & transportation environment.
*Must have extensive experience in a DoD program office environment in the functional discipline of logistics.
*Experience with DoD Program Management offices.
*Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
