Senior Bridge Engineer
Our client, a world leader in transportation engineering , is currently looking for a qualified Senior Bridge Engineer for their Norfolk, VA location.
Requirements for the Senior Bridge Engineer:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering; Master's Degree is a plus
- Professional Engineer's (PE) license required as well as ability to obtain in Virginia within the first year
- Minimum 10 years experience in bridge engineering.
- Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design of various types of bridge structures
- Must be familiar with AASHTO LRFD design criteria
- Must have a strong background in design of bridges for DOTs and municipalities
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment on challenging projects
Duties and Responsibilities for the Senior Bridge Engineer:
- Leading final design efforts related to bridge projects
- Perform structural analysis and design of bridge structures;
- Providing close coordination with others on projects;
- Responsible for plan production and coordination with other disciplines;
- Provide quality reviews for various projects
