Software Engineer – DoD/DHS
Our client specializes in cutting edge technical solutions for government and defense agencies. By providing innovative products and services for mission-critical requirements our client has developed a portfolio of repeat clientele allowing for further expansion and growth. At this time our client is in immediate need of a qualified Java Software Engineer with DoD/DHS experience.
Software Engineer responsibilities:
*Will work in a team environment developing applications for the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security.
*Will be involved in all aspects of the software lifecycle to include requirements gathering, design, development and testing.
*Assist in the analysis of system level requirements and the derivation of implementation requirements for workflow.
*Coordinate all product testing activities with the Test team, and assist in the development of Test Procedures
*Analysis of software defects and participation in the overall testing process through peer reviews and unit testing.
*Responsible for providing documentation for software as required by the software development process.
*Candidate will manage project timelines as well as work with other team member to deliver a variety of software products.
Software Engineer requirements:
*Bachelors Degree in a related field.
*A background in Java programming is required, minimum 5 years.
*Strong technical communication skills
*Experience with Net beans, Eclipse, AJAX, SOAP desired
*Experience with Subversion (SVN) and Maven preferred but not required.
*Active Secret Security Clearance
