Sr. Electrical Engineer, P.E.
Our client, a consulting engineering firm, has an opening for a qualified Sr. Electrical Professional Engineer for their Lynchburg VA location.
Requirements for the Sr. Electrical Engineer, PE:
- Must have a minimum 15 years of relevant industry work experience with electrical design with an A/E firm, electrical or municipal utility firm
- Must have Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- LEED AP desired
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation is desirable
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the design of typical of 208/120 Volt and 480/277 volt electrical systems including the design of power feeders, panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, motor control centers, motor control circuits, fire alarm systems and lighting systems
- Must have a good knowledge of 15 kV and above medium voltage distribution systems
- Must be knowledgeable of the National Electrical Code, National Fire Alarm Code and the International Building Code
- A basic knowledge of electrical construction practices is required, as the firm provides construction administration services
Job Duties for the Sr. Electrical Engineer, PE:
- Must be able to assume the position of lead production electrical engineer for a wide range of projects including water and wastewater treatment plants, large office buildings, laboratories, manufacturing facilities and municipal government facilities
- Knowledge of water and wastewater instrumentation system is desirable
- Must have good communication skills as the candidate will be required to make presentations to clients and corporate management
